Exotica Tropicals will be open this week from Wednesday 4/23 through Friday 4/25. We will be selling plants at the Mounts Botanical Garden sale in West Palm Beach over the weekend- the nursery will be closed on Saturday.
We’ve got lots of interesting plants in stock- including some blooming Heliconia rostrata “Hanging Lobster Claw” as seen in the photo above.
Also shown below are Purple Flamingo Feather Celosia argentea var. spicata and a new tree we have in stock- the very cool Japanese Fern Tree Filicium decipiens.
This tree grows dense with fern-like leaves- good for shade creation/windblock. It stays nice and deep green and does quite well in Brevard County. There is a beautiful specimen of this tree on the Florida Institute of Technology campus- just to the west of the center field where the Botanical Fest is held. Highly recommended!
