My favorite hibiscus flower, “Fiji Island” has a very different and exotic look compared to your average hibiscus. Star shaped and light purple to lavender in color, with a dark purplish center. A consistent bloomer, this one commands attention.
Vigorous and easy to grow, “Fiji Island” has proven to be as cold hardy as any standard hibiscus. Keep trimmed to maintain a bushy form, or let it ramble in between other plants, popping out blooms anywhere it finds an open spot.
Likes a bright spot in 70-90% sun. Plant in rich, organic soil and fertilize/water regularly.
